Main text: Ephesians 6:10-18
Getting prepared means to get ready and alert for a certain cause.
When I was still young, I used to get overexcited whenever my mom used to tell me to dress well, I could ask why?!
Some times her answer was "We are going for a party or any journey"
So my dressing code depended on where we're going, what we we're supposed to do there and also the weather! That's about 25years ago.
Today, someone might be asking the same question; Getting prepared for what and why?!
The answer is really simple. "Let's get more prepared because our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back anytime!"
👉 With the full armor of the Lord. Remember, immediately you confessed salvation, you declared a war against Satan who was overpowered by the Angels according to Rev 12:7-11. We notice that this was only possible by the blood of the lamb and the word their testimony.
In Ephesians 6:10-18, Apostle Paul reveals to us more additional weapons we are supposed to dress up with in order to be able to stand not only on the evil day but also on the day He(Jesus) will come back. These weapons include the following;
▪️ Truth.
Not everything you're being told is true but only those being inspired by the Holy Spirit. It's only God who tells the truth. Be careful with what people tell you because some of them are being used by Satan. It's only through Christ that we come to understand the actual truth. John 14:6 says "I am the way, and truth and life". If you want to know the truth please cling to Jesus. We also need to stop hypocrisy and be honest to God and our fellow people!
▪️ Righteousness.
Let us make sure we put everything right with God. The Bible says if we say we have no, we deceive our selves and truth is not in us (1John 1:8). Let's call the blood of Jesus to Cleanse us in every area of our unrighteousness and turn away from our wicked ways.
▪️Praclaimation of the gospel.
Brethren let's not only speak the gospel but also do everything that preaches the gospel like sharing what we have and many other compassionate ministry.
▪️ Faith.
It is high time we stopped fearing and started believing that the Lord is able to save us. Remember faith comes by hearing and hearing by only the word of God. (Romans 10:17).
▪️ Salvation.
Brethren, let's genuinely confess Jesus as our Lord and savior if we are not sure of it. If we backslided, it's high time we recommitted our lives to Jesus!
▪️The word.
We should stop speaking words and begin declaring His word. Hebrews 4:12 says "Indeed the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword.....". Let's always read and meditate on His word day and night Joshua 1:8.
God richly bless you.
I am blessed!
