Sermon title:
If we fellowship with God, we will soar.
Main text: Isaiah 40:31
The word fellowship is synonymous to intimacy which literally means close relationship. In other words if we intimately draw close to God, He will empower us to soar on wings like eagles.
Since God is a spirit according to John 4:24, He is much interested in our hearts to get connected to His spirit to make us soar.
Isaiah 40:31 says,
"But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall soar on wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
👉The scripture is encouraging us to patiently and hopefully wait upon the Lord for guidance in everything we are about to do this year.
👉 Secondly, God is assuring us to renew our strength. Many things drained our strength last year but don't worry, God is giving us fresh energy to soar like an eagle.
👉 God also metaphorically portrays those who wait upon Him as Eagles. You need to know that eagles are so unique as compared to other birds because;

-They are the only birds that soar higher than the skies.
-They look straight in the sun.
-Eagles eat fresh meat.
-They are able to see things as far as 9miles away.
- And they are the only birds that revive themselves after 35years.
*This implies that if we work upon our relationship with God, we will be able to possess the above qualities.
I mean;
- We shall not faint this year.
-We will be able to spot our blessings from far.
Get ready to be revived in order to soar on wings like eagles.
